Jennifer Garner is ready to spread her sweetness into a political satire

With two projects in the can and maternity out of the way, Jennifer Garner is ready to go back to work and spread her sweetness into a political satire. The Alias gal is attached to star and possibly produce Butter, a comedy set in the microcosm of competitive butter sculpting.

Jennifer Garner would be reuniting with Mandate, one of the production companies behind Juno.
Garner's Ghosts of Girlfriends Past opens next month. Diane Keaton, Jeff Goldblum, Maria Bello, Samuel L. Jackson and Michelle Kwan score some casting glory as well... • Keaton and Goldblum have signed up to get lost in J.J. Abrams' Morning Glory. The pair join Harrison Ford and Rachel McAdams in the film about an ambitious young producer who tries to save an ailing morning show. In order to do it, she must seize control of its clashing anchors (Keaton and Ford). Goldblum plays McAdams' boss.

• Bello is in final negotiations to play Kevin James' wife in an untitled Adam Sandler-produced comedy. In addition to James and Sandler, the high school friend reunion flick includes Chris Rock, Rob Schneider, David Spade, Salma Hayek and Maya Rudolph. • After a seven-year hiatus, Samuel L. Jackson is set for his fourth go-round as host of the ESPY Awards on July 19 at the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles. • Olympic figure skater Michelle Kwan will be making a cameo in the upcoming remake of 1978's Ice Castles.
