Former Ohio State and newly claimed Lions offensive lineman Kirk Barton talked with CantonRep.com's Todd Porter recently and touched on a number of things. The most interesting thing of note - his recent run-in with pop star Britney Spears at a concert in Columbus. Advertisement Barton was pulled up on stage during the concert - but that was just the beginning.
“They strapped my hands down with leather straps,” Barton told CantonRep.com. “I literally could not move.” Barton also spoke highly of the way the Lions have treated him since he was claimed off waivers last month. “If I had to pay for this and continue to pay rent in Cincinnati, I’d be breaking even,” Barton said in reference to the Lions picking up the bill for his 56-night hotel stay in Detroit for workouts. “Honest to goodness, the ownership is great here. Our training table is great. Of all the places in the NFL I’ve been, this is head and shoulders above everyone, and miles in front of Cincinnati. I never ate Cincinnati’s food.”
